    Kogan Agora to be delayed.

I'm disappointed to have to tell you that the Kogan Agora has to be delayed indefinitely.

This delay comes due to potential future interoperability issues.

The Agora did reach a very late stage of development. Manufacturing had commenced and it was a matter of days from being shipped to you. However, it now seems certain the Agora in it's current form will limit its compatibility and interoperability in the near future.

This is the news that showed up on the Kogan blog today.  It's quite ashame as I was A) ready to buy one and B) excited for yet another Android device.

What confuses me the most in this is that they talk about how one of the "potential issues is the screen size and resolution" but they knew the screen size of the current G1 and how developers were making applications.

It seems a bit fishy to me that they didn't notice that their device was very different from what was out there in the wild already.  What do you think about this change-of-plan?  Is there another reason that Kogan is delaying the release or did they just enjoy wasting money on going to CES and and having to refund all of their pre-orders?
